Over the past several years the Board of Directors has recognised the importance of ICT and has supported the investment in technology across the school. Our computing facilities are constantly expanding and our students now benefit from several portable lap-top trolley systems giving access to every classroom, a dedicated primary ICT suite and the introduction of Apple Mac technology in Music and Art.
All classrooms have internet access linked to digital projectors and Interactive White Boards. Lessons from Nursery to Year 13 regularly use technology to enhance learning and support pupils´creativity. Several of our pupils are already becoming adept at using this technology to explore computer programming and to create innovative new products.
This year, the Board has invested in the implementation of iPads throughout the primary school and a pilot scheme in secondary. This important development is being led by the group´s new Director of eLearning supported by eLearning coordinators in each school. This will allow King´s College Alicante to pioneer the latest technology for learning within the King´s Group of schools.
